Ramana Reddy took his wife Suryakantham, who had fever, to a doctor. When she told the doctor about her complaints he asked her to keep the thermometer under her tongue and keep her mouth shut for two minutes. She did so.
Suddenly Ramana Reddy prostrated before the doctor. The confused doctor started assuring him, “Don’t be afraid. It is a common viral fever and she will be alright within a week.”
Then Ramanareddy replied, “No, no. I am not afraid at all. I did it out of admiration for you because you are the first man to keep her silent for two minutes while she is awake.”
