Once upon a time, a particular fox was very fond of grapes.
One nice summer day he was passing under a vine yard where a bunch of beautiful ripe grapes were hanging temptingly.
He decided to get them and made a leap for them.
But he could not even reach the bunch!
The poor fox was famished now. He kept on trying and trying, but he could not reach any of the bunches.
After a while, finding that all the leaping did not help him, he gave up trying. "Oh, anyway, I think they are sour grapes anyway." he sulked as he went away.
Moral - Any fool can despise what he cannot have!
