Admission Announcement: 2002-2003
Centre for Mountain Tourism and Hospitality Studies (CMTHS) is one of the premier centres in India in the field of Tourism and Hospitality education, research and training. If offers the following courses:
Master Degree in Tourism Administration (MTA)-2 years, Candidates should be graduate in any discipline with 50%.
P.G. Diploma in Tourism and Elementary Hotelierig (PGDTH)-1 year, Candidates should be graduate I any discipline with 45%.
P.G. Diploma in Front Office and House Keeping Management (PGDFHM)-1 year, Candidates should be graduate in any discipline with 45%.
P.G. Diploma in Restaurant Operation and Catering Management (PGDROCM)-1 year, Candidates should be graduate in any discipline with 45%.
AGE: Should not be more than 25 years of age on 01/07/2002 (5 years and 5 percent marks relaxation for SC/ST). Students appearing in the final year of the degree marks relaxation for SC/ST). Students appearing in the final year of the degree examination are also eligible to apply. Seats are reserve as per Govt. rule.
Candidates willing to apply for SRTC Campus. Tehri for P.G.Diploma course in Tourism (PGDTH) are also advised to apply.
Entrance Test Centres: Written test will be held on 26th May 2002 (Sunday) at Delhi, Dehradun, Srinagar Garhwal, Chandigarh, Gangtok, Itanagar, Jammu, Nainital (provided there are at least 50 candidates on any centre) followed by interview on the same day i.e. 26th May. Written test will have multiple choice objective type questions on General Knowledge, General English and Reasoning. The result of selection would be announced on June 6th, 2002. The last date of taking admission is July 8, 2002. Classes will begin from Tuesday, July 9, 2002.
Application form and information brochure can be obtained up to 06/05/2002 from the undersigned by sending a crossed bank draft of Rs.450/- in favour of Finance Officer, HNB Garhwal University, payable at SBI (3181) Srinagar Garhwal with self addressed envelope of 23x30 cm bearing stamps of Rs.40/-. The last date of submitting the application form is May 9th, 2002.
