Nuvvu Naaku Nachhav (Telugu)A 50:50 Humour and Sentiment Mixture
The cinegoer would enjoy this movie half way. It is an individual expression whether the half was a horizontal one or vertical one.
Nuvvu Naaku Nachhav, almost all the technical crew of the super hit Nuvve Kaavali worked for this venture. Knowing this if the spectator keeps hope that he would be entertained on par with it, he would be discounted by fifty percent. In Nuvve Kaavali, there were no big stars. Whereas in the present one Venkatesh, with all his big stardom perform on the screen. A little here and there should be stripped and joined together for a continuous entertainment. Of course, this can be graded as neither a best refresher nor a total disgusting one.
The three-hour movie plot sprouts from a muster seed theme. Parents take care of their female child in all aspects providing protection every inch of her growth. Acute care is shown by them even when their daughter goes for shopping, academic pursuits, employment and everywhere. In case she should go to a distant place they scan for a safer place for her stay.
However, the care cuts off in the name of elderliness, family reputation when the time comes for her marriage. How strange, the well-groomed daughter is handed over to an unknown personality for the most important life ritual. Moreover, almost all the life’s savings would also be poured into his hands along with the life of their daughter. In anyway, if she expresses her rejection to marry someone, shown by parents there starts a third world war within the four walls immediately. It augments doubly if the maiden spells some name as dearer to her and wish to marry him.
Venkatesh, is an ‘able’ young man who pursued a three year graduation course for four years. He prefers to stay in native town Anakapalle, spend his time singing, dancing and painting besides taking care of agriculture, instead of wearing full length coats and ties and roll in dollars. The father character, played by Chandra Mohan, is totally on contrary to it. He wishes to hoist his reputation flag high with pride if his son settles in a foreign land.
The parallel part of the sequence. Srinivasa Rao is a strict and disciplined man. Heroine, Aarthi Agarwal, is his daughter. Srinivasa Rao wishes his daughter to marry a foreign settler. Venkatesh arrives as a guest to Rao’s house when a alliance ratification ritual was about to happen. Venkatesh is boarded in the out-house. As per the unscribed law of the cinema, hero gradually attracts all the family members and then steals heroine’s heart. Then, then what hero marries the heroine. That is it all.
The major lacuna in the movie is that every character plays funny and silly. Every role has a dialogue to deliver in a humorous style. Even the serious and content scenes were also shot in a similar fashion. Finally, at one stage audience will be able to either guess the next dialogue or do not understand the whole sequence. This confusion arises, as there was not much attention given to the script. Music, what more to ask. It is also …so…so.
Venkatesh justified the naughty character and Aarthi Agarwal though a debut did her best. Other character actors and actresses are commendable. With the story and narration weakness, their performances flushed out. If the techies attentively prepared the script and directed more involved, they could have definitely bagged another hit. Pssst. Okay, hope they learn from this one and be careful for their next screen show.
