Modern Teaching Techniques
The faculty of our Vidya Peetham is well trained to understand the students temperament and use modern educational tools and teaching Aids like
- Computer based education
- Every student develops acquaintance with computer
- Lessons are taught and tested with the help of CDs
- Audio Visual Aids: Our faculty uses Videocassettes, Over Head projector and audiocassettes as teaching supplements.
- Learning by doing: IV class onwards activities are conducted in the labs to demonstrate various experiments and students are asked to do various experiments.
Communicative Language Teaching through Language Labs
We have a special approach to teach language.
The focus of his approach is that the learner acquires the language by using it in real life situation.
The classroom is converted into a situation that the students are made to use only one language English/Hindi in one period. They work in pairs/groups. Hence, it is necessary that parents encourage their wards to listen to & read more of English/Hindi in their day affairs, students overcome their falling by using language while listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Emphasis of Science and Mathematics
Education should meet the changing needs of society especially in this millennium of science linked with technology.
Our curriculum takes the children into new horizon of technology based education. We prepare students for Science talent search test and Mathematical Olympiad Test.
Personality Development through Activities
The indicator of educational effectiveness is the competence developed -- the capability acquired in terms of knowledge, attitude, & skills in the individual child. Our educational system provides opportunities to orient the students towards National Goals, National Unity & Secularism & to develop scientific temper work culture & work ethics. We organise science exhibitions, social science exhibitions youth parliament etc.
House System and Co-Curricular Activities
The school is vertically divided into 4 houses each house headed with leaders. Weekly competition in various disciplines like Dance, Singing, Quiz Recitation Debate etc, will be held among the members of various houses. A Rolling shield for Toppers among houses is installed every year on the Annual Day.
Students Council
In order to provide an avenue for democratic leadership & citizen ship training, The Vidya Peetham selects Boys & Girls to take on the mantle of students council. The selected students are provided opportunities to lead student community in all activities of school. They are allowed to participate in decision making in relation to discipline & academic along with authorities.
