Khaki Chokka (Telugu)

Nothing new in Khaki Chokka

Khaki Chokka, is another film in the series, that is it all. Nothing new about this police story based movie. If debutant venture of fight master Vicky as director is kept aside, only one character performed by Murali Mohan stands apart and all the other characters including hero, heroine and villains went off normally similar to its predecessor police story films. This one is just another film with rift between the Khaki and Khaddar.

The value and respect given to Bhagavadgita can be attributed to khaki uniform in our country. On par with the khaki there is one uniform in India that is remarkably respected and that is Khaddar or khadi. Khadi and country has a mother and child relation, which is established in the history.

Khaki personals with the advent of on job responsibilities and courage establish themselves as real heroes in the society. Nevertheless, how many police personnel are really striving to establish law and order for the benefit of people at large is a big question.

When we look at Khadi, comparatively we have an extreme situation. It was khadi worn by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, which drove away the colonial rulers from the country. Gandhi with his patriotism faced the armed and powerful Britishers with confidence wearing khadi. The situation took an about turn from patriotism towards personalism or selfish interest. Who is responsible for the situation, is another big question.

Every film which casts police as the hero, discusses the reasons and attributions for the rift between khaki and khadi. Subject part is all right, but if the story line is not drawn powerful and different from its preceding police story films, how the audience receives is the question that should strike to minds of producers and directors.

Pratap (Sai Kumar) is a sincere police officer in the movie. Legislator Jaya Prakash Reddy is a corrupt politician and Satya Prakash a mafia don. Both these characters are villainy by nature. The movie is filled with scenes that portray the battle between the police and villains.

Perfection artiste Murali Mohan performed the appreciable character in the move. This character inspires the police officer role execute Sai Kumar as freedom fighter and a patriot. Murali Mohan almost lived in the temperament. This is the only character in the whole fabric of the movie, which shines.

Sai Kumar played many police roles earlier and he cannot expect any mileage out of this one. Though action and dialogue delivery are to the perfection, there would not be much advantage if the story punch were inferior. Sai Kumar should also realise this fact, if he wishes to run long on the reel life.

There was not much to the expectations of the audience either from Vicky or from Vandematharam. Yes, there is one more character, heroine played by Neelambari that can be nodded for.

Story, screenplay and direction: Vicky, music: Vandematharam Srinivas.
