Raamma…Chilakamma (Telugu)Twisted remake of Gokulamlo Seetha, ‘Raamma…Chilakamma?!
The difference between Gokulamlo Seetha and Raamma…Chilakamma is just the change of cast names, performers and little twists here and there. Lest both are almost one and the same.
In Gokulamlo Seetha (GS) it was Pavan Kalyan, who is rich, in Raamma…Chilakamma (RC) it is Sumanth. Harish and Raasi in GS, Aakash and Laya in RC.
The story in GS is with the backdrop of rich Pavan and of middle class Harish and Raasi whereas in RC it is middle class for Sumanth. Pavan with a letter from his friend Harish brings off Raasi from the marriage hall in GS. Here in RC it is Laya, who comes away by herself from that place. While Harish’s family objects to his marriage with Raasi with some reason, Aakash marries some other girl for some other reason.
Final result is the same, the heroine, so called, settles with the former rough character, in both the movies.
If RC storyline is taken independently, Sumanth (Kasi) played his first time negative character as a street smart. His friend Aakash (Vishwam) an innocent and decent guy. Heroine Laya (Gayathri) hates Sumanth and develops an attachment with Aakash and strongly believes that Aakash would marry her.
All of a sudden, her parents fix her marriage with some another person. Stunned by the developments, Laya kicks off and reaches Aakash. Aakash leaves Laya under the protection of Sumanth, as he has to depart for out of station on business. Sumanth cares and provides for all necessities to Laya honouring her, as his friend fiancée. Extremities pound on Laya when a call is received from Aakash informing Sumanth about his marriage with some another female. This information shocks both Sumanth and Laya.
The tables turn upside side down for Laya and her expectations. Her impression on Sumanth as rogue and Aakash as well behaved proves to be wrong. Now the climax of the film lies in whom Laya would marry, Sumanth or Aakash.
Did some one find the photocopy story elements in the movie?
Sumanth and Aakash portrayed their characters well with perfection. It looks like Sumanth’s character was navigated confusingly and that the director could not understand the subject, which corroborated to the collapse of the movie.
Music composition of Patnaik also faded out along with the illogic scenes and turned the movie wild from start to finish.
