RPI to stage dharna on August 15th Hyderabad, Aug 11 (HSN): Republican Party of India (RPI) to stage dharna on Independence Day at all District Collectors’ Offices opposing the diversification of Rs.6,000 crores of Scheduled Caste funds to other programmes.
Speaking to reporters here today, RPI State President Mr.Bojja Tarakam said though the Central Government is allocating funds for the Scheduled Casete development programmes, the State Government is diversing them into other programmes.
The Government is not giving scholarships to the Scheduled Caste students and slowly atrocities on the SCs are increasing in the State, he alleged. He demanded that, Rs.5,794 crores of funds diversified should be reinstate in the Social Welfare Department.
