A Letter From The Director

Dear Parent,

I am writing this to you to bring out some missing links in Education of our children. They put up their best. You do your best. But you find their names missing from engineering or medical or other entrance list. What is lacking even in their best efforts?

Inspite of burning the midnight oil and working very hard, students find the Questions tough to tackle, inspite of two years of day and night strenuous striving. Why do they find the questions unfamiliar and perplexing? Why don’t they understand the problems on final reading itself? Why is it not enjoyable to solve them?

We have a few of the best IIT, EAMCET Coaching Institutes. Every nook and corner you have a college that sells dreams of entering in Engineering and Medical Colleges, and they sell it in quite ‘Hard’ Currency. But why is it that they fail even then? And the answers you get from these towers of learning and coaching are your child has not given his best. Only “Cream Can Swim”, the rest must sink, try again next year. They have repeat batches, they launch themselves again with all the zeal, hope and trust to climb the ladder of success. The whole act is repeated, same teachers, same lessons, questions answers are repeated, exercised again and again. The children are made to go through the routine year after year without any tangible results. What is missing again?

Is anything wrong with the child? No, Children are God’s gift. They are blessed with the same amount of intelligence and calibre. There is requirement to mould the little ones’ minds to match the needs of the present day competition driven environment. But sadly most of the coaching institutes rely on mugging up efforts rather than emphasising on fundamentals. The result is that anything that is slightly different from the regular course material unnerves the students. They lose heart because the basics of the subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics are not clear to them. For example, they may remember the formulae, they may not be knowing the context, in which the formula came into existence. What happens if there is any deviation? What are these deviations? How are they related to our day to day living?

Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are the subjects that affect our daily lives. Relating these subjects to the practical aspects of life and living make them enjoyable and easy to comprehend. Intermediate or 12th class is crucial phase in every Students life. Given the pressures of modern day environment, a Student needs to be oriented towards competitive examinations from an early stage. An exposure must be given right from VIII, IX and X Classes. At that age the spirit off curiosity and inquisitiveness make the child learn in an enjoyable manner. Invariably the child will do very well and excel when he comes to the 10+2 stage (Intermediate). From then on the child will carry on in his endeavour to acquire knowledge and thereby a secure future.

At Brilliant through Foundation courses (Target IIT & Target MBBS) efforts are made to orient the child from the early stage itself, so that when he comes to the XI (Intermediate) std he is well equipped to take on the rigours of the competitive examinations. All he needs is proper guidance, the chance, the opportunity to show his mettle to work wonders. That is what we have been attempting to provide.

The school organises special training sessions for the competitive exams in the morning hours between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM in the subjects Maths, Physics and Chemistry. For the slow learners there is a special drive during 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the form of study hours.

With regards
Director
