As an important facet of personality development, at Chalapathi Residential School, sports are also given equal prominence. We firmly believe that exercise is to the body, what reading is to the mind. The physical fitness of the students is given the utmost importance. Therefore, the curriculum is enriched by many sporting, arts and recreational activities.
Students who enjoy sports can revel in the excellent facilities available at the school, spacious sports halls, playing fields jogging tracks and special courts for specific tournaments form a part of the sprawling campus.
Giving the students the opportunity to gain familiarity with all aspects of sports, the popular games of Tennis, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Badminton, Foot Ball and Cricket are well encouraged. The students have the liberty to participate in the sports activity of their choice with qualified coaches and physical instructors to assist and guide them.
A spectacular feature of our sports infrastructure is the unique skating facility introduced only at Chalapati Residential School. The vast circular skating ring is located in the campus itself and children take immense pleasure in thoroughly enjoying this innovative sport. Special instructors are present to teach, guide and personally ensure that the children master the sport under safe supervision.
Cricket of course, is the thrilling game in which the entire school takes great interest. The school Team has fared well in several inter school matches.
Reflecting the high-discipline maintained in all group activities, Mass Drills are conducted in which all students participate.
In addition to which, at Chalapathi Residential School, there is excellent provision and option to learn and master the Martial Arts. We are proud to say, that our students, have won kudos in karate, by bagging the Gold Medals in State Championships.
Yoga is a compulsory part of the school's curriculum. Practice of yogasanas is a regular activity. Yoga has been included as a most powerful tool for physical fitness, which serves to invigorate and refresh both mind and body of the students.
Tuning the students mind to imbibe the rich cultural heritage of our country, the classical arts are also taught to the students who show the aptitude and talent.
Anniversary celebrations.
We have gifted and experienced instructors who conduct Music and Dance Classes regularly. The school has provision to professionally teach instrumental music on the Casio, Piano, Violin and Flute. Expert professionals also conduct vocal music classes.

Discovering talent, encouraging true genius, the success of its students is what Chalapathi School strives to achieve. A point of merit, a matter of pride, - a budding champion in World Chess. Kumari Koneru Hampi, has chosen to complete her schooling at Chalapati Residential School. Star pupil of the school, Kumari Koneru Hampi has victoriously bagged 5 National Titles and 2 world titles in International Chess Competitions.

Our school is proud of its bright performers and we do promote and bring talent, confidently into the limelight. Chalapathi Residential School sponsored the National Rapid Chess Competition in 1998 and Kumari Koneru Hampi, we admit, successfully emerged winner once again. Carroms is another indoor game in which our students have excelled and the Inter-District and State Carroms competition have been held in our campus, sponsored by the Chalapathi Educational Institutions.
