AISF annual fete postponed Hyderabad, August 23 (HSN): The 65th Annual Celebrations of the All India Students Federation (AISF) scheduled during August 24 to 26 were postponed to September second week.
Mr M Narasimham, city unit secretary informed Hamarashehar.com that the celebrations were postponed for some unavoidable internal reasons. The fresh dates for the annual meet were slated from September 14 to 16 in Hyderabad. The venue would be notified later, he added.
The policies being adopted by the state and Central governments were totally going against the interests of the future citizens, he remarked. ‘Education to one and all’ was not practically possible with the present day policies, he pointed out. He scored that many public sector organisations were being handed over to private entrepreneurs because of which the interests of the workers and employees were hampered.
The time has come for the people to unitedly fight against the anti-student, anti-worker and anti-people policies of the governments, he called upon. Mr Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, CPI state general secretary, leaders and members of various parties, student organisations and professors of various universities in the state are likely to attend the meet, he detailed.
